Companies Act 2013

We practice a profession. This practice makes us lifelong students. Some time, we have to learn big chapters afresh. The Companies Act, 2013 is one such chapter in our professional life. We have to read, observe, understand, learn, discuss, and practice this Companies Act, 2013.

Caution: This does not means we should forget old Companies Act, 1956 which will be applicable for some time and we have to come back for to it in practice; for forensic or other historic purpose.

Update 1. After, Section 1, another lot of 98 Sections come into force on 12^th day of September 2013. A copy of a Notification to this effect is here and my discussion on effective law after this notification here and these provisions are discussed in detail here.

Update 2. Most sections of the Companies Act has been notified to give effect from 1^st April 2014. Sections which are still waiting notification are listed here.
