Yesterday late evening, I posted here about press release issued by Ministry of Corporate Affairs and tweets posted by Ministry of Finance. Soon thereafter, two files uploaded on Official Gazette website with two notifications in each. In this post, we will discuss three notifications dealing with jurisdiction. Another post related to provisions notified will follows. Keep watch on this space.
National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT)
First notification constitutes National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) with effect from 1st June 2016.
National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT)
Second Notification constitutes National Company Law Appellate Tribunal for hearing appeals against the orders of the National Company Law Tribunal with effect from the 1st June, 2016.

I have been trying to find out the address from where NCLAT
at New Delhi is functioning. I managed to find out their phone.no.But no one picks up the phone. I would to like toknow whether NCLAT is empanelling Mediators .I understand 8th Nov. is the last date.I do not have the email address also. Pl. help me. Shantha

If the jurisdiction of NCLT is falling in Bombay bench then is it possible that the jurisdiction be changed to the Principle Bench Delhi i,e. is there any provision. The parties in my case are Bombay based and even foreign investors and we are the only investor based in Delhi, the agreement is in Bombay. Can the jurisdiction be of Delhi?

No, jurisdiction be decided on basis of registered office of the company.

Registered office of the company is at Haryana. We supplied goods at the Factory premises situate at Uttar Pradesh. For the purposes of resolution of payment at NCLT we have to approach Chandigarh NCLT or Allahabad NCLT

It depend upon the registered office of the company against which application is being moved.

Does NCLT have any power to give orders to lower courts ?
